Field Service Specialist / National Service Technician

C.P. Bourg Incorporated serves as our North, South and Central America headquarters has immediate employment opportunities for Field Service Specialist / National Service Technician

C.P Bourg Inc. Field Service Specialists / National Service Technicians are responsible to provide technical product support and training on Inline, Offline feeding, binding and booklet making products to our print partners, dealers and customers. Field Service Specialists / National Service Technicians provide phone and on-site technical support, product installations, service training classes, and maintain positive working relations with end user and partners. 

Responsibilities will include providing;

  • 1st 2nd and 3rd level finishing technical product support
  • On-site support for technical escalations
  • Perform on-site product installation at customer locations.
  • Technical product service training to Technical Specialists, Trainers and Service Technicians
  • On-site support for trade shows and open houses
  • Review Service Documentation to improve troubleshooting, repairs and adjustment procedures
  • Identify and provide re-creation steps for software bugs
  • Provide Technical support for new product launches

Position Requirements – Experience and Qualifications

Candidates must have;

  • Solid technical background. 
  • Printing industry experience with a minimum of 5 years’ or equivalent
  • Knowledge of digital printers and electromechanical products
  • Technical training experience or equivalent
  • Ability to travel to customer sites in North, South and Central America 
  • Ability to provide On-Site Escalation support with short notice.
  • Ability to travel 25%-50%, approximately.
  • Ability to diagnose hardware and software technical problems and provide a solution
  • Ability to provide installation support and on-site assistance
  • Ability to provide SPARES PARTS support using company software
  • Trip Reports and administrative reports must be completed within company timeframes
  • Must be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment
  • Must have the ability to thrive in an autonomous, efficient and business-minded workplace
  • Windows based application knowledge to download and install product software using a laptop
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Excellent at Customer relationship skills
  • Must have a valid Driver’s license and current Passport
  • Provide Employers’ references and contacts upon request

Education Requirements

  • Associate Degree in technology field, Electronics preferred with certifications or equivalent experience
  • International Society of Certified Electronics (ISCET), CET and CSR preferred
